Sealcoating

Sealcoating is a key element to keeping your asphalt preserved. Sealcoating will greatly improve the look of your asphalt with a deep black look. As an inexpensive way to preserve your asphalt, sealcoating is applied to help your driveway or parking lot fight against the natural elements that harm your asphalt such as uv-rays, snow, ice and salt. It also helps create a clean smooth layer that helps protect from the deteriorating effects of oil, gas and water.

Depending on size and condition of your asphalt we apply in 3 possible different ways. Most residential jobs are either applied by hand with a squeegee or brush. For our bigger jobs such as parking lots, park walkways, and certain driveways or Private Drives we apply the sealer by a compressed spray system.

We use only top of line materials that are in accordance with each area. It is recommended to sealcoat every 2 years depending on traffic volume and yearly damage.

We offer Line Striping to parking lots only.

Crack-Filling

Asphalt crack filling is the process used to prevent water from penetrating the sub-grade and stone at the base of the asphalt. The process consists of injecting a hot rubberized sealant into the cracks of the asphalt.

Here in Wisconsin with the winter months if the major cracks are not filled water gets into them and freezes causing shifts in the asphalt. Although asphalt cracks can and should be filled throughout the life of the asphalt, only isolated cracks should be filled with tar.

If alligatoring appears in an area, where the pavement looks like the back of an alligator, these cracks can’t be fixed with crack filling alone. If there is a series of cracks grouped together, this indicates problems under the asphalt. We only fill cracks with the eye appearance of 3/8 inches or larger. Smaller cracks will be filled in and protected with a sealcoating job.

As soon as the cracks arise the sooner the better it is to treat them properly. 

Asphalt Repair

Over the years asphalt tends to have problems. Areas in asphalt that cause these problems are things such as sinking causing potholes, or sub-grade is deteriorating underneath by garage doors or walkways causing asphalt to be lower than actual garage floor.

Alligatoring is another problem when asphalt cracks into so many pieces it looks like an alligator back. In such situations we have the ability to either cut out an area and resurface it with asphalt or simply add asphalt on top to a sinking area to preserve the asphalt to last longer before a major repair is needed such as new driveway.
